Wander our way and learn a bit, share a lot, and most of all have a bloomin’ good time. Let the countryside be your inspiration and join us at one or more farm events. You needn’t be experienced, just eager and willing.  To save your spot in the workshop, please send your check and registration form. Click the link above for the form and address.

To be on our e-mail list for updates and pictures, e-mail us at auntwillies@embarqmail.com or call 423-279-9972 with your info.

For all events, bring gloves and good cutting scissors if you have them. Long pants are good if you plan to wander, as bees and poison ivy like flower farms too.  And, we have a “no complaining” rule that we strictly enforce. :).

Single Moms CelebrationSaturday, March 19, 1-3 p.m.  Let’s get together without kids and just spend time with whatever is blooming and with each other.  This workshop is free to the first 15 who apply. If you know a single mom who enjoys flowers, you can help out by volunteering to spend time with her children while she joins us at Aunt Willie’s.  We’ll create a ball jar bouquet then decorate a few cookies to take home to the kiddos. Free but space is limited.

Bird’s Nest Centerpiece: Saturday, March 26th, 1-3 p.m. Anyone ready for spring?  Come join us and we'll create a bird's nest table centerpiece. We’ll begin with a straw wreath base, then decorated with fresh and dried natural finds and finally nestle candy birds' eggs in the mossy center.  $25 prepaid fee includes all supplies and light refreshments.

Kids/Grandparents Flower Camp:  Saturday, April 2, 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (Suggested ages 4-12). Our hope is to awaken the wonder of spring in each of our young guests as we observe and play with nature. Each child will make a flower bracelet, create a bird’s nest centerpiece, wander the farm and identify wildflowers, fungi, and all things green (weather permitting), dine on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and finally create a ball jar flower arrangement.  We will gently guide children but allow their work to be their own. We especially invite a grandparent to share the wonder but any special adult will do. $30 prepaid fee/child includes all materials and PBJ sandwich. Adults free.

Blessings ‘a bloom:  Saturday, April 9th, 9:30 a.m. Join me at Grandview Christian Church in Johnson City for a workshop and coffee sponsored by Emmanuel School of Religion. I will present through slides, discussion, and demonstration how to grow and use cut flowers in Christian Ministry. Space IS NOT LIMITED but registration is required.  E-mail for more details $5 fee for registration includes coffee.

Moms and Grown Daughters Ice Cream Social: Sunday, April 17 3:00-5:30 p.m.  This is my birthday present to myself as Kelly and I invite other mother/daughter combinations to join us as we each make a sweet bouquet in a coca-cola soda glass then relax together with an old fashioned ice cream soda and  cookies.  $30 prepaid fee/person includes 2 coca cola glasses, sodas, and cookies.

Lilacs and Laughter: Thursday April 21, 6:00 p.m. What a wonderful time for lilacs, tulips, iris, viburnum, ranunculus, and anemone. We’ll complete our evening with a late light salad supper. $50 prepaid fee includes vase and salad supper.
