Anne of Green Gables Meets Yoga! Fri. July 1, 8-10 AM

We had too much fun at our first Yoga and Flowers to not give this another go!  Come share an morning with us at the farm where we’ll join the powerful and beautiful forces of yoga and  flowers through the eyes of Anne of Green Gables. We’ll get an early start to beat the heat and head our day in the right direction.

Raven Honsaker, certified yoga instructor and friend of the farm teaches at Real Hot Yoga in Johnson City and also at Tennessee Hills Brewstillery and has agreed to lead another session here on the farm. No experience is necessary and Raven will gear the class towards all ability levels and ages. We’d even be delighted if other septuagenarians come and join Roy and me! Yoga combines flexibility, strength, and community and we’re most excited about the community. After a 45 minute workout, we’ll transition to flowers and head to the dahlia beds where there are plenty of flowers for all. Each can create a wild ball jar style arrangement that would look perfect on Marilla Cuthbert’s table. Bring a hat if you choose and and Linda will guide everyone through creating the perfectly flowered Anne styled hat or a flower crown, or even a floral tatoo or pocket square. So many pretty flowers to choose from now with dahlias, scabiosa, zinnias, snapdragons, black eyed, susans, butterfly weed and so many more. And as usual, there will be flowers left so likely you’ll take home a few extras.

If you’re really a fan of Anne, bring something to wear to suit the occasion. We’ll have light Anne friendly refreshments but bring your own drink please.

See below for payment and more details. And if you’ve never heard of Anne, don’t worry, we’ll fill you in!

Out of stock

We will begin the morning at the Homeplace, 399 Bruce Doan Rd., 37617 (or inside the Log Barn if it rains). I’ll try to remember to put balloons on the mailbox and please pull down the driveway to the white farmhouse. We do ask you to bring a yoga mat if you have one or a towel or blanket if you don’t. Yoga will be on grass if outside or gravel if inside. We will be cutting dahlias, so bring nippers if you have them, but we’ll have plenty. There is no restroom at the Homeplace but we can take a break when needed. We will meet rain or shine. Space is limited and while registration is not refundable you may gift your spot to a friend if for some reason you can’t attend.
