Spring Floral Centerpiece, Date TBD

So much beauty has blossomed on the farm this week we decided it’s time for a centerpiece workshop! Lilacs, ranunculus, poppies, anemone, viburnum, sweet peas, snapdragons, and butterfly ranunuculus are at their height and all work beautifully in table arrangements. The early spring green foliage is such a sweet compliment to it all and finishes it off with a flourish. Linda will demo a centerpiece in a vessel that allows flowers to spill over casually and will explain the principles of design that will allow each participant to create a lush long lasting arrangement using all the bounty spring provides.  Gentle guidance will be offered and help provided when needed but the variety of floral material make this arrangement one all can master. We’ll work behind the chicken coop at Aunt Willie’s with views of the open pastures, log barn, and grazing cattle. No prior experience is needed and beginners are welcome. When we’re done creating Linda will style your piece for a photo that you can then share with others. Cost of the workshop includes instruction, all floral material, vessel, and flowers to take home at the end of the evening. Registration is not refundable .See below for more details.

We’ll meet at Aunt Willie’s, 207 Bruce Doan Rd. Blountville, TN 37617, as it looks to be a beautiful evening to be outdoors with no chance of rain.  The house is the brick bungalow on the corner of Bruce Doan and Bond Town and you’ll pull right up the driveway as you turn onto Bruce Doan Rd.  I’ll try to remember to tie balloons on the telephone pole. Should the weather change, we’ll meet in the Log Barn up the road. Masks are required but we may be able to take them off when distance allows. Please bring nippers if you have them and dress for a run down old farm. Be prepared to learn a thing or two, enjoy an evening in the country, make a friend, and create something beautiful. If you have questions, you may call or text Linda at 423-367-0361. To provide individual attention and to allow for social distancing we are inviting 10 participants maximum.
