With so many summer flowers showing off we’ve decided it’s a good time for a centerpiece workshop. The lisianthus, zinnias, and celosia are in bloom, limelight and tardiva hydrangea are full, dahlias aren’t loving the heat but coming along, and there are just so many other sweet fillers and spillers including a bumper crop of dill and wildness from the field. Linda and Kristin will create demo arrangements using all things high summer and will teach the mechanics that allow the free overflowing style we have come to love, then we’ll gently guide participants in creating their own arrangements. We will provide a vessel that shows off blooms and is easy to arrange in and you can create an arrangement as large or small as your space at home allows. We’ll hope for pretty weather but can move inside if we need to. And bring an extra vase along as there will likely be extra flowers to take home for more practice!
Cost of the workshop includes flowers, vessel, instruction and is not refundable. There is no restroom at the Homeplace but we can travel up the hill if needed. See below for more details.

We will meet at the Homeplace, 399 Bruce Doan Rd., Blountville, TN 37617. I’ll try to remember to put balloons on the mailbox. Pull don’t the driveway towards the white farmhouse. There is not a restroom but we can get you to one if needed. Dress for a run down old farm. Bring nippers or clippers if you have them but we’ll have some to share.
