Garden Style Bouquet, Date TBD

$165.00

Such a wonderful time of summer to create a garden style trailing bouquet. This can be a bridal style bouquet or just as easily a table centerpiece. The dahlias, lisianthus, zinnias, and celosia are in bloom, limelight and tardiva hydrangea are full, and there are just so many other sweet fillers and spillers and wildness from the field. Linda will demo a garden style bouquet with flowers spilling over casually and will explain the principles of design that will allow each participant to create a beautiful bouquet using all the bounty summer provides. Linda will talk specifically about what’s best to grow and a bit about how she’s developed her style of arranging. Gentle guidance will be offered and help provided when needed but the variety of floral material make this bouquet one all can master. We’ll tie up our creations and add sweet trailing ribbon for the finishing touch. Your bouquets will be ready to walk down the aisle or drop into a vase.

We’ll work at the Homeplace and can move indoors if the weather doesn’t cooperate. No prior experience is needed and beginners are welcome. Cost of the workshop includes instruction, all floral materials, ribbon, a vase for your creation, and extra flowers to take home at the end of the evening. We’ll likely have plenty of flowers to make a second smaller bouquet as a bonus.  Please note that registration is not refundable and we will meet train or shine. See below for more details.

Description

We will gather at the Homeplace, 399 Bruce Doan Rd., Blountville, TN 37617. I’ll try to remember to put balloons on the mailbox and please pull down the driveway to the white farmhouse. Bring nippers if you have them but we will have plenty and dress for a run down old farm, full of poison ivy, groundhog holes, and a bee or two. If the weather isn’t cooperating, we’ll meet inside the Homeplace or in the Log Barn.  If you grow something you would like to bring along, please do, the more material the merrier. Be prepared to learn and share a thing or two, enjoy an evening in the country, and create something beautiful.  If you have questions, you may text Linda at 423-367-0361.  Space is limited to provide individual attention and to allow for social distancing
